| Environmental Health & Safety Mgr Position: Environmental Health & Safety Mgr Location: Mississauga Salary: 80k-90k 25% Travel Our client is currently looking for a Manager, EH&S to provide expertise in all health and safety matters as required by provincial and/or federal legislation. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of company health and safety programs to ensure the protection of all employees from industrial accidents and occupational and environmental health hazards. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordination of the Health & Safety Committee; workplace audits/inspections; management reporting; coordination of training; first aid; fire evacuation; accident reporting; and remaining current with provincial occupational health and safety legislation and communicates changes to local management. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of provincial occupational health and safety and related legislation. A university degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience is required. To succeed in this role, well developed verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previous experience in training or other human resources related activities would be a definite asset. | |
