| Data Analyst Primary Objective: This position fills the need of providing software, training and process documentation and materials for both customers and employees of Altus Capital Planning. Date Position Available: ASAP Key Responsibilities: •Perform all aspects of Client’s database custom configuration •Perform all aspects of Data Management and Templates •Perform Q.A procedures in every stage of database configuration / development •Analyze databases for data or structural problems/corruption •Identify and articulate any issues, problems or gaps within product applications, and bring these to the attention of Product Development staff. •Improve database SQL/Oracle programming skills continuously. Regular Work Hours: •Minimum of 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday. Core business hours are 9am to 5 pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break •Some overtime hours may be required during peak periods or when workload necessitates Technical & Behavioral Competencies: •Excellent and advanced Working knowledge of MS Excel, Access and SQL language. •Working knowledge of asp.net, MS SQL server and architectural methodology. Solid understanding of the software development process •Customer service orientation – professional and responsive •Teamwork and cooperation •Strong communication skills – listening, understanding and responding •Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects •Excellent literary skill •Demonstrated ability to work on complex, technical projects with tight deadlines •Excellent planning, research, and writing skills Education/Professional Development/Work Experience Requirements: •Relevant University or College Degree / Diploma •2 years of direct work experience in IT software environment •Demonstrated success in using MS Excel and Access •Ability to write SQL scripts •2+ years experience in database programming •French is not mandatory but would be considered an asset | |
