Assistant Superintendent Responsible for providing the supervisory assistance for craft employees assigned to a particular discipline work area, ie., electrical, instruments, HVAC, erection of structural steel, rebar, duct work, etc. Perform all functions and responsibilities in consonance with the company's values and beliefs. 1. Supervise craft work assigned to area of responsibility. Provide liaison between field engineering, estimating, and crafts to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications. 2. Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, materials quantities, equipment, requirements, etc. are maintained. 3. Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained. 4. Ensure that craft time cards are completed to accurately reflect hours worked. 5. Advise senior level supervision and project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required. 6. Maintain liaison with other departments, i.e., Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, etc. as required to support construction schedule. May provide assistance to the Superintendent in resolving problems. 7. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Requirements: 1. Educational and experience requirements include at least 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. 2. Minimum of 6 years construction experience; minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. 3. Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents, plus ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance is essential. 4. Must be willing to relocate to Sioux Lookout for the duration of the project.
