QUALITY CONTROL / CHECKER Job Title: Quality Control Salary: Negotiable Employee Type: Full Time Pillar Recruitment Group Inc. has just celebrated a very successful year and we are looking to continue our growth throughout 2008. Currently we are looking for a full time individual to work as a Quality Controller / Checker in an industry leading steel fabrication company located in Sudbury. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: 1. Works under general supervision and relies on experience and judgement to plan, accomplish tasks and meet established goals 2. Conduct quality assurance testing and analysis on a variety of sized projects to ensure that the finished products meets detailed and industry standards and end-user specifications and requirements 3. High attention to detail when comparing blue prints to final product 4. Maintain the quality of the production environment; quality control and release of finished goods 5. Document any defects resulting from the testing of the product ensuring that all problems are communicated to all members of the team 6. Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned EXPERIENCE / ACCREDITATIONS: Minimum 8+ years of structural steel and platework fabrication experience Structural Steel Platework Trade Certificate CWB Welding Supervisor Certificate SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: Ability to communicate effectively and work with a variety of individuals coupled with effective interpersonal skills Proven analytical/problem solving abilities and time management skills Vigorous attention to detail and quality oriented Excellent command of written and spoken English Pillar Recruitment Group Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and thanks all interested applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
