| Cad Manager Our client, a Mechanical Engineering consulting firm with over 50 years of experience and offices in both Canada and the US, is currently searching for a Drafting/AutoCAD Manager to join them on a permanent full time basis. You will manage a team of up to 20 people helping to make recommendations on staff levels, research interview and make recommendations on new cad staff, coordinate and keep track of all CAD work assignments and specialist work assignments. You will coordinate engineering work load with partners and provide information to management. You will participate in weekly meetings with designers to review active projects and will arrange for CAD overflow help when work overload occurs. You will help to resolve disputes amongst cad staff and will organize changes to CAD related software license and license upgrades. You will organize all in-house drawings both hard copy and digital and will review timesheets to ensure all CAD staff time is coded to appropriate jobs. ll qualified candidates will have demonstrated supervisory experience in a mechanical engineering consulting or contracting firm. You have a valid degree in Mechanical Engineering or a C.E.T equivalent. All candidates will have experience with complete Mechanical HVAC experience specifically on commercial and institutional projects. You have exceptional AutoCAD skills combined with above average communication skills both written and oral. Those candidates who have knowledge of REVIT will be preferred but not necessary. Any candidate who has worked at a team lead or lead level will also be considered. This is a permanent full time position which will pay a competitive salary plus benefits | |
