Project Estimating Supervisor Description: Supervisor leading a group of estimators to complete estimates for projects in all phases of project development. The team will review and maintain consistency utilizing the Project Delivery System (PDS) in estimate preparation as many consultants are utilized throughout the life cycle of the project’s development from scoping study to execution. Benchmarking of project tender and bid review. This position will serve in a leading, mentoring and coordinating capacity of the team and day to day operations in support of the Manager, Project Services. Perform quality checks and sign off the team’s estimates of project and 3rd party estimates. Position Requirements: Position Requirements: Formal training in estimating procedures and process as applied to real situations. Work experience with surface civil, structural and mechanical installations working with contractors or engineering firms. • Experience that can assist and mentor a project site group (project controls) to produce estimate documents on capital projects. • Strong mathematical skills to determine ‘scaling’ (factoring) relationships between various component estimates • Computer software skills in spreadsheet, scheduling, word and databases • Strong estimating skills to filter costs for proper baseline benchmarking (i.e. gulf coast) • Independent and strong work ethic • Strong leadership skills • A team player Experience: • 8- 10 years with experience in multi discipline environment: Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering. Estimating experience & knowledge of relevant construction norms and industry rate • Plus 3 – 5 years in a supervisory role Education Requirements: • BS/technical diploma in construction management, civil engineering or related field desired License Requirements: • N/A
