| Estimator Description: To review and maintain consistency utilizing the Project Delivery System (PDS) in estimate preparation as many consultants are utilized throughout the life cycle of the project’s development from scoping study to execution. Benchmarking of project tender and bid review. Position Requirements: Formal training in estimating procedures and process as applied to real situations. Work experience with surface civil, structural and mechanical installations working with contractors or engineering firms. • Strong mathematical skills to determine ‘scaling’ (factoring) relationships between various component estimates • Computer software skills in spreadsheet, scheduling, word and databases • Strong estimating skills to filter costs for proper baseline benchmarking (i.e. gulf coast) • Independent and strong work ethic • 8- 10 years with experience in multi discipline environment: Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering. Estimating experience & knowledge of relevant construction norms and industry rate. Education Requirements: • BS in construction management, civil engineering or related field desired License Requirements: • N/A | |
