We are currently looking for Industrial Electricians who able to work with minimal supervision, outdoors as needed and at elevations. You will install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. This involves working with voltage up to 13.8 KV. Industrial Electricians are needed to work on rotating shifts in mines and processing plants that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required Skills: • Experience with installing, maintaining and troubleshooting of motor control circuits • Working knowledge of computers and troubleshooting control systems using Programmable Logic Controller's (PLC) • Experience in cable splicing techniques • Experience in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and documentation • Experience with basic Instrumentation, ie. pressure, temperature and level Preferred Skills: • Experience troubleshooting safely, on 3 phase 600 Vac or higher, industrial electrical equipment Educational Requirements: • HS Diploma or equivalent • Certificate of Apprenticeship as an Industrial Electrician or Construction & Maintenance Electrician • Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician or Construction & Maintenance Electrician At Vale Inco, we are looking for candidates who meet a specific and unique skill set.
