Senior Mine Ventilation Supervisor will plan and establish targets, schedule resources, assign work, monitor team activities and make efficient use of resources to achieve an effective ventilation system. This role provides technical support to the mine, solves ventilation problems and recommends corrective actions based on monitoring the ventilation system for conditions that could adversely affect or exceed the scheduled development and production targets. Work collaterally with peers and cross functionally with colleagues in operations, engineering, geology, maintenance and services to achieve the objectives of the mine. The focus of this role is to build an effective team to optimize the mine ventilation system. The Senior Mine Ventilation Supervisor fosters a climate of safety, mutual trust, and respect among all members of his/her team. His/her key focus is the development of a truly interactive workplace environment where “face to face” is the priority mode of communication. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related engineering discipline • 10 yrs experience in managing and designing mine ventilation systems Licensed/Professional Requirements: • Registered or eligible for designation as a Professional Engineer in Province of Ontario At Vale Inco, we are looking for candidates who meet a specific and unique skill set.
