Mine Evaluation Engineer

Provide engineering services to complete Scoping, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility studies for new mines or expansions to existing mines in the Sudbury area. Provide detailed mine development, construction and production schedules complete with cost and resource loading.


Position Requirements:
Able to perform technical work at an advanced level in areas such as preparation of mining proposals, mine development, sand filling, cost evaluations and contract administration. Requires formal training and experience in Mine Planning and Mining Methods, Mine Ventilation and Refrigeration, Geology and Exploration, Ground Control/Rock Mechanics and Financial Evaluations. Requires a general knowledge of OHSA and government regulations. Knows and understands the working capabilities and design parameters of underground and surface equipment for the proper design of mine layouts.


Educational/Experience Requirements:
University degree in mining engineering

Experience:
5 years + of progressive experience

License/Professional Requirements:
Mining Engineer, registered or eligible for designation as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
