Mine Engineer

The purpose of the role is to provide mine engineering services to assigned mines and mining operations.

Responsible for providing engineering production planning support for mining operations through ITH drill layouts, development layouts, production blast letters, ground support designs, construction and service requirements.

Position Requirements:
• Provide engineering services to support all pastefill operations, including maintenance program of distribution system, quality control of product, design of system in new zones and troubleshooting.
• Mine planning support for long-range team. Understand and provide input into the entire infrastructure (ventilation, mining equipment, ore handling, drainage, electrical, and other facilities).
• Prepare mining proposals that describe the method of choice from an examination of the alternatives for that specific section of a mine.
• Provide continuous follow-up and monitoring to ensure work is being done as planned.
• Identify, analyze and recommend opportunities for safety, productivity and cost improvements.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
• BSc Engineering
• 10 years experience or equivalent

License/Professional Requirements:
• P Eng preferred
