| Warehouse Operator A shipping/moving company is looking for active warehouse operators to assist with the loading/offloading of loose loaded shipments in containers. The Warehouse operator will also work at the service door to assist customers as well as complete paperwork. This is a 6 month contract (renewable), hourly position that reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Average working hours is 44hrs per week. Positions available on two shifts -day (7am to 4pm) / night (12pm to 9pm) Key duties and responsibilities includes: -Loading/offloading containers and palletizing/skidding shipments. -Lifting and carrying heavy boxes long distances. -Update online inventory systems and complete hand written paperwork. -Measuring shipment sizes and volumes and performing mathematical calculations. -Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse. -Participate in all department meetings / safety meetings. -Assisting on pack job sites as required. Requirements: -Strong skills in English -both verbal and written. -Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends. -Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis -Has an active driver’s license. -Has a forklift license. -Able to work in a team environment. -Can work with wood and power tools. Hourly pay is $12.00/hr. | |
