GOAL STATEMENT/SUMMARY
Reporting to the Projects Manager Downtown Development and working in cooperation with the Marketing Assistant, the Member Services Coordinator will be the main point of contact between BIA members and the Downtown Kingston! office, effectively carrying out the duties stated below. The position will also be responsible for the day to day management of our summer street crew.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The day to day co-ordination & management of the street maintenance crew/Downtown Ambassadors (under supervision of Projects Manager Downtown Development)
• Assign daily tasks based on crew schedules
• Assist with the coordination of the Music in the Park series (day of banners, chairs, signs etc.), other major events the Downtown Kingston! office is responsible for, and other duties as assigned

2. Work with the Downtown Kingston! team to effectively communicate with the BIA membership:
• solicit participation and assist in execution of Sidewalk Sales
• assist in communications/participation with the Kingston Buskers Rendezvous, including sponsorships, creation/delivery of information, Peoples Choice program, etc.
• assist in communications/participation with the Limestone City Blues Festival, including venues, market vendors, Market Square businesses, etc.
• solicit participation in the new Christmas campaign
• assist with other programs/communications as required
• perform various other deliveries/pickups in BIA boundary

3. With support and direction from Marketing and members, work with Downtown Kingston! partners (including KAP, Arcturus/SMG) on packages/promotions
4. Collect member information, including emails and web addresses and update the member database
5. Perform various updates to Downtown Kingston! websites
6. Other duties as assigned

This is a summer position – May to August 31

COMPETIENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• A university/college background
• Demonstrated experience in sales, service and/or hospitality environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with people
• Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced, team environment
