System Administrator / Oracle Database Administrator An established Software Development firm is seeking a Systems Support Administrator in Toronto or Mississauga/Oakville/Burlington. Responsibilities will include providing remote and on-site maintenance and support for all development and production server environments, including web and application servers. Development of new service offerings is ongoing and candidates with programming or web design skills are preferred. Must have working knowledge of: - Remote Desktop / Hosted Environments - Windows Servers (NT/2000/2003) - TCP/IP, Wireless - Oracle database administration - Small and medium office routers & switches - Apache / Tomcat - Resin - Oracle backup - installing, configuring firewalls, servers, routers, switches, VPN - troubleshooting network problems and conflicts The ideal candidate has at least 3+ years hands on experience on Windows administration. You must be able to demonstrate skills and working experience on all IT systems. This is a long-term contract position in the GTA, requiring occasional travel within the GTA. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
