| Project Engineer Plasco Energy Group Inc. is a private Canadian waste conversion and energy generation company. Reporting to the Manager, Project Engineering we are looking for a Project Engineer to lead a project technical team. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree in engineering, with extensive experience in designing and implementing large systems within the chemical, oil and gas or power generation industry. He or she has at least 15 years of project experience culminating in 5 years experience being the lead designer for large energy or process systems. He or she has extensive experience in commissioning systems. He or she also possesses excellent problem solving and communication skills. The Challenge • Lead the design of one of Plasco’s major projects, with responsibility for the overall design and its technical performance • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team • Specify and ensure compliance of process equipment • Plan for and lead the process of equipment testing and integration, and of system commissioning • Plan for and support the process of training operations and maintenance staff Your Expertise • A minimum of 15 years experience in a project engineering and project management environment • Substantial experience with the design of both equipment and large systems • Experience commissioning systems at client sites • Superior communication skills, written and oral • Excellent attention to detail • Demonstrated success working in multi-disciplinary technical teams • Demonstrated success in leading design and development projects, as well as implementation work • Experience with installation of equipment at a major construction site is an asset • Member of the PEO or eligible to become a member Education • Engineering Degree, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Position Details This is a full time permanent position starting immediately in west end of Ottawa, Ontario- one of the most beautiful capitals in the world for work and play.
