Maintenance Supervisor We require an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize and provide supervision and oversight for daily maintenance operations and activities. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for: • Supervise and assign work to maintenance employees. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary. • Assist in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the Maintenance Department. • Coordinate, install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in the facility. • Installation, maintenance and removal of production equipment. • Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used. • Responsible for machine up time, overall quality of machine maintenance. • Assembly, debugging installation and start up of new, existing and/or modified production equipment from the perspective of mechanical assembly, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic and controls installation. • Responsible for maintaining the maintenance department from the perspective of housekeeping, parts inventory and organization. • Troubleshoot packaging line equipment problems to determine root cause and provide effective repairs and adjustments to equipment. • Additional duties as required. Requirements • 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of both high-speed and medium-speed packaging equipment. • Trade Certification (Electrician or Millwright) • Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisor or manager role. • Understanding and operation of HMI interfaced production equipment. • Self-starter with troubleshooting skills. • Strong organizational skills with the ability and flexibility to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy environment. • Strong decision-making and budgeting skills. • Able to manage capital projects and outside contractors. • Must be highly analytical, detail oriented, organized, with excellent judgment. • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to apply them with maturity & good judgment. • Being a team player with ability to work with a variety of levels in an organization is essential to make the role work. • PLC's, high speed packaging, electrical/electronic skills is an asset • Maintenance trouble-shooting ability • Preventive Maintenance program experience, both in installation & upkeep.
