Manager Communication Networks & IT Security Our client, the global leader in their field, is currently looking for a Manager for their Network and security area. You will manage a small team, several external vendors and have responsibility for the continuous development, up time and availability of a Data, Voice and Video Converged Network supporting over 1,400 staff in 23 locations across Canada. In addition you will have the role of IT Security Manager cordinating It Security initiatives in the Canadian IT Environment from Global & Regional Guidelines. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Converged WAN - MPLS based running voice, video and data in a vendor managed environment (Administration of: IP Subnetting, MAC's, troubleshooting and fault isolation) LAN environment - Switch configuration and management Video Conferencing - Local equipment troubleshooting and vendor management for hosted centralized multipoint bridge IT Security Appliance Management - Fortinet Firewall (UTM), ISS IDP, Symantec AntiVirus, Patchlink system updater, Netscreen Firewalls and VPN routers IPT Telephony - management of a Nortel Succession 1000 system with symposium Call Center as well as the proposed Cisco Call Manager with IPCC Express and unified messaging. Windows Domain - Support for the Windows Active Directory and Group Policy configuration as well as Windows Based DNS. VPN Management - Utilizing IPSec tunnels with Fortinet and managing our 3rd party vendor Radiant for managed VPN's as well as the management and configuration of the Citrix SSL VPN concentrator. Location Management - Ability to site survey for requirements building and working with vendors and departments for warehouse and office rollouts IT Security - It Security Officer role. Internal auditing and review of processes, systems and information management. Interaction with Global & Regional IT Security officers. Environment and Working Conditions -The incumbent will be based out of the corporate office in Missisauga. However, because of the nature of this role, travel within Canadian location & abroad is required. -The standard working hours will be from 08:30 a.m to 17:00 p.m but because of the demands of this job, the working hours can and will be variable. Your background will include: -Project management with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects -Vendor Management -Interdepartmental coordination of projects both locally and internationally -Procurement -Business case preparation for investment proposals -Management of remote staff -Strong organizational, leadership and analytical skills -Self-motivated, task-oriented, team-focused -Strong interpersonal skills -Exceptional ability to coordinate others to work together and relate with peers in a Project Development environment -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Exposure to multi-country project initiatives, interaction to overseas project teams. -IT Security role. -Ability to constantly search for & explore new Technologies, define benefits to be derived from them, and properly present them to Management for review & approval. Education & Training: -Technical Degree or Equivalent -Telecommunications designation or exposure (5Yrs Min) -Staff leadership (2Yrs Min) -Cisco AVVID and CCNA (2 Yrs Min) -Nortel IPT and Call Pilot (desirable) -VPN configuration (IPSec and SSL) -Windows AD configuration and architecture -Project Management Certification (desirable) Location: Airport Compensation: $70 - $90k + $6-8k bonus, pension, medical/dental, flexible with vacation amount | |
