Child and Youth Workers / Foster Parents / Live-In Care Provider (respite) To assist care provider in the day to day management of the home (e.g. Household routines, chores, meal preparation and general cleanliness To assume responsibility of home in absence of the care provider particularly during vacation and relief periods. To participate in monthly reviews and/or conferences of individual children within the residence as well as doing case recording and scheduling medicals, dentals and court appearances. To conduct him/herself in a professional manner while on the job maintaining confidentiality of the youngsters, as well as maintaining the privacy of the care provider. To report directly to the care provider and work closely with the respective area supervisor to provide emergency support within the assigned home if and when the need arises. To ensure the safety and welfare of the children placed within our care To ensure that they are current and certified in all areas of training i.e., Fire and Safety, Policy and Procedures, Current First Aid and C.P.R., U.M.A.B. etc., To deal effectively with families, social workers etc., in a professional manner and to maintain appropriate personal presentation at all times. To actively assume residential responsibilities such as: -house programming / community activities -individual and group sessions -post crisis processing with residents -assigned responsibilities as per live-in care provider -attend and participate in staff meetings To read and initial the following reports and/or documents: Incident Reports, Daily Logs, Posted Staff memos, Serious Occurrences,Residential Recording System (Plans of Care)
