Business development manager Job Specification The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of shaping, selling and delivering substantial systems integration, applications development and applications implementation projects to the sector. Additional experience of Business Process Outsourcing would be an advantage. He or she will have a combination of the following experience and characteristics: Demonstrable success in identifying, developing and closing projects for industry leading clients Evidence of having built strong and sustained client relationships Evident expertise in the financial services sector and a depth of experience in applications relating to Banking and Insurance. Additional experience of Capital Markets is highly desired, and would be an advantage. An ability to understand customer requirements and to shape compelling business solutions which draw on the end-to-end capabilities of the company. A record of shaping services offerings which have had market success. Experience of selecting and implementing industry-leading packages A record of delivering projects to client satisfaction. Strong project skills and disciplines, and clear ability to bring others to high standards in those disciplines. Evident success in simultaneous management of multiple projects in multiple locations Success in negotiating and managing both time and materials and fixed price contracts to a planned and profitable outcome. Commercial astuteness, and awareness of feasibility and commercial and technical risk The ideal candidate will have had management experience in the target sector as well as having provided consulting services to it The ideal candidate will have some experience of outsourcing and knowledge of offshore delivery The teamwork, communications, and management process skills needed for success in a rapidly growing and changing organization High energy, an appetite for learning, and a strong drive for career growth Impeccable references.
