Director of Inside Sales

Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall strategy and growth of the inside sales team (AKA the Proactive sales team). Tasked with opportunity identification, sales leadership, cross-funtional development and building and maintaining a high-performance sales team. Responsible for revenue generation through the management of a team with direct revenue responsibility via telephone contact. This position is a senior sales management position with front-line management personnel as direct reports. The STM's region is responsible for generating a significant percentage of the entire sales department’s annual revenues. The external facing title for this position is Assistant Vice-President, Sales.
Responsibilities:
• Develop ongoing tactical and strategic plans to ensure the department is aligned with Chase Paymentech’s overall objectives and to ensure sales goals are achieved.
• Commands an outstanding comprehension of Chase Paymentech’s product and service offering, as well as the various internal processes.
• Manages sales of the company's products and services. Ensures that targeted business and sales-related goals are achieved for the Proactive sales division.
• Establishes effective communications with appropriate executives and managers to ensure proper sensitivity to sales needs. Works with management and executive team to ensure that sales activities support the strategic objectives of Chase Paymentech.
• Works closely with direct reports in the hiring and training process to build and sustain a high-performance sales team.
• Works closely with other departments, namely Marketing and Relationship Management, to develop programs that will drive new sales.
• Works closely with various Operations departments to ensure the overall sales process is efficient.
• Motivates the sales team.
Qualifications:
• University degree or equivalent training in business or sales management.
• Five or more years of sales management experience, preferably within an inside sales centre capacity. Industry experience is also preferred.
• Strong sales management and leadership skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Strong negotiator.
• Ability to effectively lead a project team from its inception through to the execution of the project.
