Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary:
Brock Aggregates mechanics are key employees who are responsible for the diagnoses of mechanical problems, repairing and rebuilding of equipment, preventative and scheduled maintenance on equipment. Our mechanics are required to have experience working with hydraulics. Mechanics check and schedule work with the Plant Manager.
Date Position Available: Immediately
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment
o Diagnose mechanical problems
o Diagnose problems and repair brakes, transmission, rear-ends, and clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and electrical problems
o Perform tune ups
o Check and schedule work with the Plant Manager
o Make service calls as necessary
o Maintain service records for equipment
o Clean shop and storage area
o Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
Regular Work Hours:
• Normal working hours are Monday to Friday - 7am to 5:00pm
• Additional /overtime hours as per business requirements – flexibility (including weekends) required with significant time investment during peak periods and when workload necessitates

Qualifications:
o At least 4 years related experience
o License an asset, but not a requirement
o Must have own tools
