Description: The purpose of this role is to provide hydrometallurgical and chemical process evaluations to assure technical feasibility and economics of new facilities, and extension and modernization of existing facilities. This will include: • Participating in the design and operation of pilot plants and determine plant operating costs • Assisting in capital cost determination and economic evaluations of process and project alternatives • Acting as owner's process engineering representative during studies conducted by consulting engineering companies as well as during design, construction, commissioning and start-up of hydrometallurgical facilities Position Requirements:  Experience in mini-pilot plant and/or pilot plant operation  Experience in plant start-up and commissioning  Experience in chemical and/or hydrometallurgical plant operation  Experience in operation and/or design of following systems - pressure leaching equipment and circuits  Experience in operation and/or design of following systems - electrowinning/refining plant  Experience in operation and/or design of following systems - solvent extraction equipment and circuits  Experience in hydrometallurgical plant feasibility studies and design  Experience in heat and mass balances and thermodynamic computations  Heap Leaching experience preferred Educational/Experience Requirements: • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering is required • Post-graduate degree would be desirable At Vale Inco, we are looking for candidates who meet a specific and unique skill set.
